It offers a high-level qualifying training for researchers, lecturers, postdocs, PhD students and anyone wishing to develop their knowledge of linguistic typology, its objectives and methods.
It will be held at the IGESA Centeron Porquerolles Island (southern France) fromSeptember 4 to 17, 2016.
Objectives
Train or supplement the training of researchers, faculty, postdocs, PhD students and (selected) Master 2 students.
Integrate various theoretical and methodological approaches to describe and model the variation and typological invariants in the world's languages, in all linguistic domains, phonology, morphosyntax, semantics, psycholinguistics, etc.
Build up methodological advances and tools used in linguistic typology.
The European school of typology benefits from the financial support of : CNRS, Labex EFL and ASLAN, Deutsch-Französische Hochschule (DFH), Köln University and Amsterdam University, Fédération "Typologie et Universaux Linguistiques".
